Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite having sought a new electricity connection for operating the petitioner's submersible pump, no such connection has yet been given.

Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL files written instruction and submits in accordance with the same that the petitioner, as yet, has not filed any application in proper format for a new electricity connection. Subject to the petitioner so applying and submitting all relevant documents and complying with due formalities, there will be no difficulty on the part of the WBSEDCL to give such connection to the petitioner.

Written instruction of the WBSEDCL filed in Court be kept on record.

Accordingly, WPA 8524 of 2023 is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to apply in proper format for getting a new electricity connection to run his submersible pump.

If so applied for and subject to submission of relevant documents as required in law, the WBSEDCL shall give such connection to the petitioner, upon compliance of all due formalities by the petitioner, within three weeks from the date of compliance of such formalities by the petitioner.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
