Petitioner has filed this writ petition being aggrieved by the alleged inaction on the part of the income tax authorities concerned in refunding the admitted refund on the basis of assessment order dated 31st May, 2023, being Annexure P-8 to the writ petition in spite of repeated representations. Learned advocate representing the respondent income tax authority submits that petitioner's claim of refund is under process before Centralized Processing Centre (CPC)/respondent no.5.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submission of the parties, this writ petition being WPA 9231 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.5, to finalized the process of refund in

question, within four weeks from the date of communication of this order and to make refund immediately thereafter.

With this observation and direction, this writ petition being WPA 9231 of 2024 is disposed of. ( Md. Nizamuddin, J.)
