Petitioner is directed to serve a copy of the revisional application upon Mr. Koushik Kundu, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment may be regularized by the concerned Authorities in due course. Mr. Nath, learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 7th June, 2020. The anxiety expressed by the petitioner is justified as the petitioner is in custody for three years and no witness till date has been examined. It has been informed that the next date has been fixed on and from 26th June, 2023. The learned trial court is directed to fix at least a schedule of three dates and fix a schedule on each and every month so that the trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournments should be granted to either of the parties.

In case, any departmental government witness do not appear the learned trial court would immediately communicate with

the Superintendent of Police who is maintaining a register for production of the said witness. The Public Prosecutor appearing in the cases would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the dates fixed for examination of the witnesses concerned. All efforts be taken by the stake-holders to complete the trial at the earliest.

With the aforesaid observations, the present revisional application being CRR 1278 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are consequently disposed of.
