1. The petitioner has challenged the notice seeking explanation dated March 26, 2023 in this writ petition. Yesterday (11.12.2024) when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr. Majumder, learned senior advocate appearing for the Visva Bharati University submitted that a Committee under the Chairmanship of a retired Judge of this Court has been constituted to look into the several issues including disciplinary proceedings.

2. On the prayer of Mr. Chakraborty, learned advocate on behalf of the petitioners, the hearing of this writ petition was adjourned and was directed to appear today (12.12.2024).

3. Today, when this matter is taken up for hearing, Mr. Majumder, learned senior advocate submits that he has received instructions that the petitioner has participated in the hearing before the said Committee on 8th December, 2024 and the decision of the

Committee is expected to be made within two weeks from date.

4. In view of the aforesaid, nothing survives to be decided in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, writ petition stands disposed of.

6. There shall be, however, no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties expeditiously upon compliance of all legal formalities.
