Petitioner prays for bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was falsely implicated. The petitioner is in custody for 100 days. The police filed charge-sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State refers to the materials in the case dairy. He refers to the Post Mortem Report of the victim. He contends that the petitioner is the paramour of the wife of the victim. The petitioner and the wife of the victim were last seen together with the victim. He refers to the confessional statement made by the petitioner in custody. On the leading statement made by the petitioner in custody, the murder weapon was recovered. He refers to the seizure list which bears the signature of the petitioner.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (DB) 1224 of 2022 is dismissed.
