Let a copy of this application be served upon Mr. Imran Ali, learned counsel, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. He is requested to represent the State in this case. His engagement may be regularized in due course.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is an accused in this case. The FIR was

lodged on 13.02.2021. A charge sheet was submitted on 21.06.2021 citing six witnesses. Yet, till date the proceeding could not be concluded. Even charges have not been framed. The matter has remained pending for no fault of the petitioner. Heard the learned counsel for the State.

No prejudice will be caused to anyone if an order is passed to expedite the proceeding.

It appears that there is some delay in deciding the question of framing of charges.

In view of the above and in the interest of justice, I request the learned trail Court to conclude the proceeding in accordance with law and as expeditiously as possible and more particularly, decide the issue of framing of charge at the earliest, preferably within six months from the date of communication of this order. With these observations, the revisional application is disposed of.
