1. Two petitioners have approached before this Court by depositing only one Court fee. Learned advocate on record of the petitioners is granted leave to deposit deficit Court fee in respect of one petitioner by course of tomorrow.

2. The petitioners are serving as Health Assistant (Female) in the department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal in the district of Uttar Dinajpur. They are permanent residents of the district of Dakshin Dinajpur.

3. The petitioners have annexed document in support of the submission that there are several vacancies which are available in the district of Dakshin Dinajpur.

4. The petitioners pray that their application seeking transfer to their home district be considered by the authority.

5. None represents the respondents despite service.

6. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

7. The application filed by the petitioner No. 1 seeking transfer to the home district was submitted online on 3rd April, 2026, the same is yet to be considered. The petitioner No. 2 has not yet filed any application seeing transfer.

8. In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of with the observation that it will be open for the petitioners to file separate application seeking transfer to their home district.

9. In the event such application is made, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the Director of Health Services, Nursing Branch, being the respondent No. 2 herein in accordance with the prevailing guidelines at the earliest but positively within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

10. All parties to on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

11. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties, subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
