1. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits as follows. The petitioner is the sister-in-law of the alleged victim. The FIR is the result of a matrimonial dispute between the alleged victim and her in-laws. In any event, the petitioner is not the principal accused.

2. Learned APP representing the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the injury report, the statements of witnesses, the articles seized and the phone call records.

3. It appears that the main allegation of sexual assault is against the brother of the petitioner.

4. Considering the above, the other materials available in the case diary, the alleged role ascribed to the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner is a female member of the household, I am inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also be subject to further conditions that the petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation and shall not threaten or intimidate the witnesses.

6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is allowed.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
