Mr. Bikash Shaw ..for the petitioner Ms. Payel Mitra ..for the State It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the State that the Certificate Officer has in the instant case directed the respondent no.5 (employer) to pay a sum of of Rs. 1,02,920/- but neither the personal manager nor anyone else on behalf of the respondent no.4 has taken any steps for paying the said gratuity amount. The Certificate Officer had also initiated proceedings under the Bengal Public Demands Recovery Act, 1913 but all such efforts has gone in vain up till now.

In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the respondent nos. 3 and 4 are directed to take expeditious steps for recovery the amount due to the petitioner on account of gratuity under the provisions of 1913 Act as expeditiously as possible but not beyond 31st July, 2024.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the writ petition. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
