Mukherjee, learned Public Prosecutor Mr. Partha Pratim Das Ms. Eshita Dutta ....for the State There are statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to suggest that the petitioner was one of the persons involved in meting out torture to the victim by reason of which, the victim was provoked to commit suicide. Investigations are yet to be over.

In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1522 of 2023 is dismissed.
