1. Learned counsel for the petitioner alleges that the petitioner applied for electricity connection to operate his submersible pump for agricultural purpose, but the same has not yet been given by the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), which is refuted by learned counsel for the WBSEDCL.

2. The latter submits that the WBSEDCL does not have, in principle, any objection to give the connection; however, the petitioner has not yet constructed any meter room, for which such connection could not be given.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instruction, submits that the petitioner shall construct such meter room within two days.

4. Accordingly, WPA No. 9277 of 2024 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to

construct a meter room and intimate the completion of such construction in writing to the WBSEDCL.

5. Upon such communication and upon the petitioner complying with all due formalities the WBSEDCL, within four weeks from the later date of the above, shall give such connection to the petitioner by acting on a server copy of this order, without insisting upon prior production of certified copy thereof.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities. (Sabyasachi Bhattacharyya, J.)
