Applications made by the petitioner for grant of stage carriage permit in respect of 2 vehicles were allowed by the RTA Board by a resolution taken in its meeting held on December 08, 2022. Offer letters were issued in favour of the petitioner on January 03, 2023 requiring the petitioner to submit relevant documents as stated in the letter within 180 days from the date of issuance of the offer letter. The petitioner produced both the vehicles and submitted relevant documents within the stipulated time frame and by an application filed on June 28, 2023, requested the authority to issue permits in her favour. No steps being taken by the authority, the petitioner submitted further representation before the authority on February 28, 2024. Petitioner seeks a direction upon the authority to consider the representation and issue permits in her favour.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the 3rd respondent be directed to consider the representation in accordance with law.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated February 28, 2024 submitted by the petitioner and issue permits in her favour within one month from the date of communication of this order upon affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner subject to compliance with all relevant formalities as enshrined in the Act by the petitioner. With the above observations and directions this writ petition is disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
