Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 80 days. The police filed charge sheet and, therefore, further detention of the petitioner is not required.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the medical report of the victim.

The victim is 9 years of age. The victim implicates the petitioner in the statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and the medical report of the victim tends to corroborate the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code. In such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected. CRM (DB) 1228 of 2022 is dismissed.
