1. Supplementary affidavit and Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today are taken on record.

2. The petitioners are the witnesses in respect of an FIR No. 241 of 2022 dated 6th April, 2022. The accused is the Prodhan of Daudpur No.8 Gram Panchayat. The petitioners have given statements under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

3. It is submitted that since after the petitioners' provided evidence in the investigation, they have been continuously threatened and intimidated and are not being able to live in peace. It is further submitted that the petitioner no.1 has not been able to enter into his house.

4. Nandigram Police Station shall escort the petitioner no. 1 back into the house. For the aforesaid purposes, the petitioner no.1 shall visit Nandigram Police Station at 2:00 P.M. on 8th June, 2023.

5. Since it is submitted that there was a police picket already posted earlier, Nandigram Police Station shall assess the threat perception of the petitioners and

afford necessary security, given the fact that they are the witnesses in the aforesaid FIR.

6. It is expected that the investigation into the subject FIR No. 241 of 2022 dated 6th April, 2022 is completed by the Nandigram Police Station as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from date, if not already done.

7. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

8. There will be no order as to costs.

9. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
