None appears on behalf of the petitioners and no accommodation is prayed for.

Even on earlier occasion, none appeared on behalf of the petitioners.

This is a case pending since 2010. Despite direction, no affidavit in opposition and affidavit in reply have yet been filed by the respective parties as per the report of the registry.

The writ petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction upon the respondent to return and disburse the amount of Rs.1,28,114/- only which was adjusted and deducted from the gross amount and arrear pension of the writ petitioners and pay 18% interest towards the said amount from the date of retirement i.e. on 31st May, 1992 till the date of actual disbursement to the petitioners.

Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of the case, it seems to this Court that the petitioner is not interested to proceed with the case either on the ground that the purpose of filing this writ petition has been resolved or that he has abandoned his prayer due to passage of time.

In the above backdrop, the writ petition stands dismissed without any order as to costs.

The interim order, if any, stands vacated.
