1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) Mother of a child studying in school of respondent no. 5 has approached this Court with the present writ petition, inter alia, seeking direction upon the concerned police authority for registering FIR based on complaint dated 25th November, 2025. Allegation is petitioner's son is victim of ragging at the instance of some other students of the school. Necessary direction is prayed for in writ petition upon the concerned police authority restraining other students from perpetrating

offence of ragging which would facilitate son of the petitioner to attend the school.

3) Learned advocate representing respondent no. 5 has drawn attention of this Court to order dated 27th November, 2025 of Juvenile Justice Board, Howrah (for short, "JJB") passed in connection with Chatterjeehat Police Station Case No. 147/2025 dated 7th July, 2025. It is submitted that since a proceeding is pending before JJB in connection with Chatterjeehat Police Station Case No. 147/2025 dated 7th July, 2025 grievance of the petitioner being mother of student of the school may be brought to the notice of JJB.

4) State respondents are represented by learned Additional Government Pleader.

5) On perusal of order dated 27th November, 2025 of JJB, it is found that JJB revoked suspension order issued by said school authority against son of the petitioner and permitted son of the petitioner to study in the school. School authority was also directed to take steps as per order dated 27th November, 2025.

6) By passing subsequent order on 17th December, 2025, JJB found that Headmaster of school complied with the direction of JJB. It was also recorded in order dated 17th December, 2025 that the student and parents were not present at the school meeting.

7) On perusal of both the orders of JJB and taking note of the fact that proceeding under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) is pending before JJB, this Court is not inclined to pass

order on this writ petition since any observation at this stage on this writ petition may affect the proceeding pending before JJB.

8) In the event of grievance, petitioner shall be at liberty to approach JJB. JJB shall take steps and pass necessary order in accordance with law.

9) Writ petition stands disposed of.

10) Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
