For State Mr. Khan, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client seeks direction upon the supply company to provide electric connection to his client. His client is purchaser of the plot of land and had applied for commercial connection. He refers to representation dated 28th July, 2020 addressed to the police station, thereby requesting steps be taken against private respondents, who are obstructing the connection being given to his client. Mr. Mukherjee, learned advocate appears on behalf of the supply company and submits, resistance by said respondents was faced by his client. Mr. Kapil Guha, learned advocate appears on behalf of State.

Private respondent nos.5 and 6 go unrepresented. That is of no consequence since they were earlier represented, as appearing from order dated 24th September, 2020.

The supply company is directed to take steps to give connection to petitioner. For that purpose, they shall be assisted by the police. The supply company will produce

copy of this order before the local police station and obtain necessary assistance. It is made clear that petitioner is to be given electric supply in accordance with law. The connection, if the application is found to be in order, must be given within three weeks from date of receipt of the order.

WPA 6361 of 2020 and connected application are disposed of.
