Despite service, none appears on behalf of the Staterespondents. Affidavit-of-service is taken on record. The petitioner makes an innocuous prayer for a direction upon the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Tribunal to dispose of the application under Sections 5 and 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

If the application is in proper form, the Tribunal shall decide the matter, in accordance with law, upon hearing all necessary parties and dispose of the proceedings within a period of four months from date.

This order will not be construed as an observation on the merits of the claim of the petitioner. The merits shall be decided independently by the Tribunal.

The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
