Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation Limited (CESC) submits that a nominal sum of ₹2,963/- remains due and payable by the petitioner.

The petitioner undertakes to deposit the said amount within a period of seven days from the date of this order. In view of the above, there is no necessity to keep the present writ petition pending.

Accordingly, if the petitioner deposits the outstanding dues along with any applicable reconnection charges within a period of seven days, CESC shall take immediate steps to restore the electricity supply to the petitioner's premises.

Accordingly, WPA 8577 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
