Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not named in the first information report.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the order dated March 31, 2022 passed in CRM (A) 1496 of 2022 by which, prayer for anticipatory bail of the other co-accuseds were rejected. In the present police case, there is an allegation of a JCB being run over persons sleeping in the land in the question in the midnight.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 2097 of 2022 is dismissed.
