And In Re : Buddhadeb Roy @ Babu ..... petitioner Mr. Ujjal Roy ... for the petitioner Mr. Neguive Ahmed, learned APP Ms. Trina Mitra ... for the State Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with the murder. There is delay in trial. He prays for bail.

Learned Counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record.

Statements of witnesses show petitioner was seen quarreling with the deceased near a pond. Subsequently dead body of the victim was recovered on the leading statement of the petitioner. Bicycle was also recovered. In view of the aforesaid circumstances and date has been fixed for recording evidence we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
