The matter relates to premises No.236/1, Hossainpur, Borough-XII, Kolkata-700 107, under the jurisdiction of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. In response to the complaint lodged against illegal construction being carried on at the said premises, the men and agents of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation inspected the site and issued stop work notice and also intimated the Police.

The petitioner's grievance is that since thereafter no steps have been taken by the Corporation to deal with such unauthorised construction.

The present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Executive Engineer being the respondent no.4, to take steps in accordance with law to deal with any unauthorised construction that has been made in the aforesaid premises.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
