(Via Video Conference) Mr. Soumen Bhattacharya ....for the petitioner Mr. Pantu Deb Roy .....for the State The learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that although the petitioner has submitted an application for renewal of permit on 2nd February, 2021, but the same has not been considered by the concerned authorities till date. It is also submitted on behalf of the petitioner that the permit in question expired on 28th January, 2021 as appearing in the said application for renewal at page 24 (annexure P-4) to the writ petition.

State is represented.

After hearing the parties, I direct the respondent no.3 to consider the said application of the petitioner dated 2nd February, 2021 for renewal of permit after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of six weeks from date and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of taking a decision in the matter.

With these above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
