Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

The petitioner claims to be an unmarried daughter of a deceased employee of the Punjab National Bank. She prays for grant of family pension in her favour.

A representation from the end of the petitioner is pending consideration before the Bank. 4.

Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the competent officer of the Punjab National Bank, Pension Department to take a decision on the petitioner's prayer for release of pension in accordance with the relevant laws and the orders passed by the Court from time to time.

Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation along with all supporting documents

and precedents in support of the case to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

A decision shall be taken by the respondent authority at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. The reasoned order of the authority shall be communicated to the petitioner.

If the petitioner is found entitled to receive pension, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken for releasing the same in her favour without any delay.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
