...for D.P.S.C., Malda Affidavit-of-service on behalf of the petitioner is already on record which was filed on 29th April, 2025 when the matter was last heard.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that an application for transfer was made on 14th June, 2024 on general ground since distance in between present school of the petitioner and his place of residence is almost 60 kilometers. It is also submitted that petitioner has completed more than five years of approved service as primary teacher and prayer is made for transfer of the petitioner from one school to another school in the district of Malda.

Respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Having considered the case made out in this writ petition, Chairman, Malda District Primary School Council being respondent no.6 is directed to decide the transfer application of the petitioner, in accordance with

law, by eight (8) weeks from the date of communication of this order and the decision to be taken shall be communicated to the petitioner by fortnight thereafter. It is made clear that transfer application of the petitioner shall not be rejected on the ground of suspension of portal.

With the above directions, writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
