It is contended he is in custody for 88 days. It is also submitted victim was married to a much older person. She was unhappy and committed suicide.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer. We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show victim was tortured over demand of dowry by the petitioner and other in-laws. She committed suicide within six months of marriage.

In view of the aforesaid facts and gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
