By an order dated 2nd August, 2021, the respondents Authorities were directed to take instructions as to when and how soon they would be vacating the land in question and would hand over possession of the same in favour of the petitioners. It is not in dispute that the respondents Authorities were inducted in the premises by virtue of an agreement of lease for 15 years which has expired in 2010. Respondents are admittedly holding over the property without payment of rent.

Accordingly, this Court directs the respondents to vacate the property and hand over possession of the same to the petitioners within a period of six months from date positively, failing which the petitioners would

be at liberty to take necessary steps before the appropriate forum.

W.P.A. 9740 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. As no affidavit-in-opposition has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.

There will be no order as to costs.
