Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the earlier order dated 26.08.2020, the respondent authority was directed to furnish a report pointing out the date when the charge-sheet was filed. Today Mr. Sur, learned advocate appearing for the State submits the report as directed by the order dated 26.08.2020.

After perusing the report, we find that the chargesheet was filed within time. Therefore, considering the above, we are inclined to reject the application for bail. However, the learned court below is directed to expedite the hearing of the trial and complete the same within eight months from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

Let the photostat copy of the report submitted by Mr. Sur, learned advocate for the State be kept on record. With the aforesaid observations, CRM 5650 of 2020 and CRAN 1 of 2020 (Old No. CRAN 4016 of 2020) are disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with the necessary formalities.
