The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that in the meantime the Additional District Magistrate (Land Acquisition), Hooghly has communicated its decision dated April 21, 2026 rejecting the claim of the petitioner.

Thus, a fresh cause of action has arisen.

A copy of the memo dated April 21, 2026 filed by the learned advocate for the petitioner is taken on record. WPA 9152 of 2026 stands disposed of leaving the petitioners free to work out their remedies in accordance with law.

There will be no order as to costs.
