The petitioner is the wife of the opposite party. The petitioner has filed a Matrimonial Suit being Matrimonial Suit No. 207 of 2019 seeking dissolution of her marriage with the opposite party by a decree of divorce. The said suit is now pending before the learned Additional District Judge at Chandannagar, District Hooghly.

The wife/petitioner by the present application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is seeking a direction upon the learned Trial Judge for expeditious disposal of the said Matrimonial Suit.

The suit has reached the stage of peremptory hearing as submitted by the Learned Counsel for the parties, as such, there is no

impediment in disposing the said suit expeditiously.

The learned Additional District Judge at Chandannagar, District, Hooghly, therefore, is requested to dispose of the Matrimonial Suit No. 207 of 2019 expeditiously preferably within a period of eight months from the date of communication of this order and in doing so shall not grant any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

C.O. 1018 of 2021 is disposed of. No order as to costs.
