The State of West Bengal and ors.

1. None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. No accommodation is sought for.

2. This case pertains to the year 2010. Almost 15 years have already passed.

3. The instant writ petition has been filed by the writ petitioner seeking direction upon the respondents for absorption of the petitioner who have requisite qualification for the post of Assistant Teacher I the Primary School under Baranagar Municipality considering the qualification and service rendered by the petitioner uninterruptedly since 2002 in the same grade against permanent vacancy.

4. Considering the nature of prayer and long pendency of this case, it seems to this Court that the petitioner is no more interested in pursuing the case on the ground that either purpose of filing the writ petition has been

resolved or he has abandoned his prayer due to passage of time.

5. In view of the above facts, the instant writ petition being WPA 6586 of 2010 is dismissed without any order as to costs.

6. Consequently, the connected application, if any, is also, thus, disposed of.

7. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

8. All parties shall act in terms of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

9. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties taking all legal formalities.
