The grievance of the petitioner is directed against a final order of assessment dated 17th November, 2020 passed by the respondent no.4. The CESC is represented and submits that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy and the writ petition is not maintainable.

The private respondents are also represented. In view of the statutory alternative efficacious remedy available to the petitioner under the Electricity Act, 2003, I am of the view that the present petition is not maintainable.

Accordingly, WPA 9780 of 2021 is dismissed as not maintainable.

However, the petitioner is granted liberty to avail of the statutory remedy, if so advised, in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, WPA 9780 of 2021 stands disposed off.
