Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has no nexus with the offences alleged. The petitioner is one of the directors of the three companies wherein one Subrata Mondal is also director. The main thrust of the allegation appears to be against him and the petitioner is in no manner connected with the alleged offence.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that several gamming apps were opened by the petitioner and his associates and numerous victims all over the country have been lured to deposit huge amounts of

money with the assurance of getting lucrative returns. Money deposited in various accounts have been diverted by the petitioner and his associates into their personal accounts. A huge racket has been operating throughout the country for laundering of money extracted from innocent persons.

I have considered the materials on record which prima facie suggests involvement of the petitioner in the allege crime. Considering the extent and gravity of the offence affecting the society at large prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application is disposed of.
