Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners submits that the KMDA has already agreed to offer alternative plots of land to the petitioners and the petitioners have agreed to accept the same. It is now for the State to take appropriate action.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the KMDA, upon instructions, submits that his clients have already communicated the offer to the petitioners and intimated the State about the same. Necessary steps would be taken at the earliest, preferably within a period of two weeks from this date, to have the plots of land in question handed over to the State. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the copies of documents and, upon instructions,

submits that already a process is on for return of the alternative plots of land in question, which are now with the KMDA, to the State so that the State, in turn, can give the said plots to the petitioners in lieu of the disputes between the parties. In all probability, this entire exercise will be completed, within a week from the handing over of the alternative plots of land in question by the KMDA and the land shall be made over to the petitioners.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no further order need be passed in this regard. However, it is expected that the KMDA and the State will do the needful at the earliest.

With these observations the writ petitions are disposed of.
