In the matter of : Mr. RamachandraHunasikatti ..... petitioner Mr. Aniruddha Bhattacharyya .....For the petitioner This is an application for expeditious disposal of the proceedings being NI Act 51/19 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court at Sealdah, 24-Parganas (South) under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that though the complainant has been examined, and the process has been issued, but till date the plea has not been recorded. He prays for expeditious disposal of the proceedings. In this pandemic situation, the delay in disposal of the trial cannot be attributed to the learned Magistrate. However, in view of the innocuous nature of prayer of the petitioner, I dispose of this application with a direction upon the learned Magistrate to make an endeavour to dispose of the trial as early as possible preferably, within a period of one year from date without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The application being CRR 1173 of 2021 is disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
