Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his complaints are not being addressed by the Serampore Police Station in spite of the offences which surfaced are cognizable in nature. Repeated informations have been sent to the police authorities and I find from the records that the last of the information which was furnished was on 27.02.2025.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that earlier in the year 2024 on the basis of information of respondent no. 6 Serampore PS Case No. 497/2024 dated 29.08.2024 was registered. However, on the basis of the information furnished by the petitioner against the respondent no. 6 and others Serampore PS Case No. 227/2025 dated

21.04.2025 has been registered for investigation against respondent no. 6 and other unknown persons.

Having regard to the fact that a criminal case has already been registered, the purpose for which the writ petition has been preferred by the petitioner has prima facie been subserved. Police authorities will take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion by putting in their efforts. With the aforesaid observations WPA 8756 of 2025 is disposed of.
