No. 29 KAUSHIK REJECTED C.R.M.(A) 1556 of 2023 In Re:- An application for anticipatory bail under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Ranaghat Police Station Case No. 767 of 2022 dated 28.10.2022 under Sections 363/365 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

And In Re : Bappa Das ...... petitioner Ms. Sananda Bhattacharya ....for the petitioner Mr. Joydeep Ray Mr. Amanul Islam ....for the State The minor implicates the petitioner in the incident of kidnapping. She also claims that, the petitioner entered into a physical relationship with her.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 1556 of 2023 is dismissed.
