Mr. Pantu Deb Roy, Mr. Subrata Guha Biswas ... for the State The petitioner contends that he has been assaulted by the private respondents, who happen to be the son and daughter-in-law.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report which reflects that steps have been taken for which cases have been registered.

I find that charge-sheet has also been submitted. Considering that the dispute and difference is an outcome of an in-house issue and the petitioner happens to be a senior citizen, I direct that the Officer-in-Charge, Jiaganj Police Station to depute a lady police personnel who will on every alternative day visit the residence, assess regarding the harassment and humiliation faced by the petitioner. In case, the situation is blown out of proportion, appropriate report be submitted before the Officer-in-Charge of the concerned police station.

Such arrangement would continue for a period of four weeks when the concerned lady police personnel will visit the residence in alternative day. In the meantime, the petitioner

will approach the appropriate authority under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007.

If any direction is passed by the said authority/tribunal, in such case police authority would respect, obey and implement the said order.

With the aforementioned observations, WPA No.9447 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Urgent xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on priority basis.
