No one appears on behalf of the petitioner although the matter was specifically scheduled to be taken up for hearing today at 2 p.m..

Report filed on behalf of the State is taken on record. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent nos.5 to 8 submits as follows. The petitioner is the mastermind of several crimes. Innumerable proceedings are pending against the petitioner in this regard. The petitioner had taken away a nursing home from the private respondent no.5 and turned it into a brothel. A complaint filed by the petitioner in this regard is being stalled by showing pendency of the present writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State relies on the report and submits as follows. Licence to run a nursing home has already expired. Upon instructions, it is submitted that no padlock had been put at the gate of the building. From a letter dated 04.09.2023 given by the petitioner, it appears that after this matter was taken up for hearing for the last time, the

petitioner gave this letter intimating that he did not have any further grievance in connection with his complaints and he was settling the matter by giving a cheque of Rs.2,50,000/- to the private respondents and taking back two computers, files and ATM machine.

It does not appear that the petitioner is any more interested to pursue the matter.

The letter given by him, as appended to the report of the State, goes against the petitioner's prayers made in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed.

However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since affidavits were not called for, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
