Ali ... for the State The claim of the petitioner relates to unpaid amounts of the work done in terms of construction of a correctional home. The claim made by the petitioner is about Rs. 15,88,527/- together with security deposit of 10% of the revised estimated amount.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that only prayer made in the present writ petition is for a direction on the Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department, to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 11th January, 2022 for disbursement of the said amount.

Learned counsel for the State respondents submits that the representation may be considered within a fixed timeframe and in accordance with law.

WPA 8388 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 4 being the Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department, Government of West Bengal, to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 11th January, 2022 and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order within a period of four weeks from date. The said authority shall hear all the necessary parties including the petitioner for passing such reasoned order. A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioner within a week from the date of passing such order. Needless to mention, the claim of the petitioner shall be disposed of in accordance with law.
