The grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction on the part of the WBSEDCL in providing a separate electricity connection to the premises of the petitioner.

Pursuant to an order of Court the WBSEDCL has filed a Report which suggests that third party private respondents are creating obstruction and hindrance in any such connection being granted to the premises of the petitioner.

In view of the above, WPA 9253 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned District Magistrate having jurisdiction to consider the grievance of the petitioner after hearing all the parties including the WBSEDCL and the private respondents. The entire exercised is to be

completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It is made clear that there has been no adjudication on the merits of the case and the District Magistrate is at liberty to decide the same in accordance with law and uninfluenced by any observation in this order.
