The petitioner complains that he has not received compensation till date although his land has been acquired in LA Case No. 04/2016-17.

Mr. Chandi Charan De, learned Additional Govt. Pleader, appears on behalf of the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Birbhum, the competent authority being the respondent no. 3 herein and submits that under Section 3(g)(1) of the National Highways Act, 1956 the compensation for acquisition of the land of the petitioner in the aforesaid Case has already been determined.

He further submits that the petitioner was asked to furnish details of his bank account so that the compensation amount may be remitted to the said Account but the petitioner did not respond to the call. The petitioner denies the allegation.

Be that as it may, the compensation since has already been determined, the petitioner is at liberty to

approach the respondent no. 3 for disbursement of the compensation.

WPA 7750 of 2019 is disposed of with the above observations.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
