Ms. Chama Mukherjee Mr. Siraj Gooptu ..for the State In this writ application the petitioners have sought for issuance of Mandamus directing the respondent authorities to provide necessary assistance for the purpose of the protection of the lives of the petitioners and their minor sons. As the respondent nos. 1 to 6 have caused physical harm to the petitioners and the minor sons as per the allegations embodied in this writ application and has demanded for immediate

steps for arrest of the private respondents, who are the offenders and the G.D.E. No.610 dated 15.05.2020 has been diarized and so the order sought for.

On behalf of the State, photocopy of the formal F.I.R. being F.I.R. 266 dated 7.9.2020 has been placed in service which appears to have been filed on behalf of the private respondents, Basumati Gharami under Sections 341,323, 325, 379, 354B, 506,34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Another First Information Report has been placed in service which is dated 5.9.2020 but no formal F.I.R. has been noted in this contest. Hopefully, the local police must have registered a specific case on the basis of First Information Report which is noted in the Bengal Form No.

It is understood that the case and counter case has been registered by and between the petitioners and the private respondents. The petitioners simply submit for protection of their lives. It is addressed that the petitioner no.1 is

an old lady and has two minor sons and they should be taken care of. The allegation levelled against the private respondents is that they have physically assaulted her petitioner and her sons. In this context, the Officer-in-Charge, Mathurapur Police Station will look into the matter and see to it that the petitioners should not be physically assaulted as also the private respondents and maintain the peace and tranquility in the locality.

With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition and the connected applications are disposed of.

Urgent xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
