In terms of our earlier order, Joint Commissioner of Police, Administration, Kolkata has filed a detailed report, which is taken on record.

In the report the position of the petitioner has been shown at Serial No.87 in unreserved category. Considering the report filed before us, we feel that the placement of the writ petitioner in the unreserved category is proper.

The learned Government Pleader has assured this Court that all steps would be taken to expedite the process of appointing the writ petitioner under exempted category.

We dispose of this application by recording the assurance of the learned Government Pleader. We hope and trust that the employer shall expedite the said process and ensure that the writ petitioner who is presently placed at Serial No.87 gets his appointment at

the earliest as any delay may cause serious prejudice to the applicant/writ petitioner.
