Ms. Kakali Naskar ... for the State-respondent(s) The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that he has inherited a Revolver for which he has applied for licence. To that effect, a representation has been made to the police authorities and an application has been made to the District Magistrate also.

However, the police verification, till date since the year 2022, has not been completed.

State has submitted a report which reflects that the police authorities till date did not find any past criminal records of the petitioner. However, for

police verification, some instances are required and a scrutiny in terms of the police verification, till date, is going on.

Considering the fact that for a substantial period of time such verification process is going on, the police authorities are directed to submit their report before the learned District Magistrate preferably within a period of 60 days from the date of communication of this order.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8815 of 2025 is disposed of.

Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
