State has submitted a report which reflects that series of cases have been registered since the year 2019 and charge-sheet(s) have also been submitted.

So far as the incident complained of on 28.01.2025 is concerned, the police authorities are of the view that a matrimonial dispute is in existence for

which series of cases have been registered and the present complaint is one of the outcome of such dispute. The police authorities have, as such, reduced the same into a General Diary Entry.

The petitioner complains that the police authorities should have in the facts and circumstances registered an FIR.

Since the police have not registered any FIR, it would be the petitioner's obligation to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate by invoking the relevant provisions of law.

The learned Magistrate would also assess regarding the nature of the offence complained of as also ascertain whether any case for investigation is called for, thereafter, pass necessary directions in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 8817 of 2025 is disposed of.
