The State of West Bengal Mr. Arnab Chatterjee, Ms. Poulami Bose -For the petitioner Ms. Trina Mitra ....for the State The petitioner is directed to serve copy of the revisional application upon Ms. Trina Mitra, learned advocate who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State. His appointment be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that although charge-sheet was submitted on or about September, 2020 in connection with the alleged offences under Sections 498A/304B/406 of the Indian Penal Code till date the case has not been committed to the Court of Sessions. The last date as pointed out by the learned Advocate for the petitioner was on 22nd June, 2023. Having regard to the records of the learned trial court, each date has been fixed after almost a year.

In view of the anxiety expressed by the petitioner, there are justified grounds for interference in this matter.

Accordingly, I direct that the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bongaon will prepone the date by issuing notice to the accused persons and take all efforts so that the case is committed to the court of Sessions by 15th September, 2023. Once the learned Sessions Court receives the records, and if it decides to proceed with it or delegate the same to another Sessions Court, under those circumstances, the learned trial court would try to complete the process of framing charges by 19th December, 2023. Thereafter at least a schedule consisting of three dates be fixed once in every forty-five days by the learned trial court so that the trial can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application, being CRR 1330 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending application, if any, stands disposed of. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
