Leaned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that one of the co-accused was granted bail by the jurisdictional Court.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and to an order of rejection of the prayer for bail of another co-accused passed on March 21, 2022 in CRM (DB) 765 of 2022 (In the matter of Kinkar Mondal).

The victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure squarely implicates the petitioner in the incident.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner therein as transpiring from the materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

CRM (DB) 1264 of 2022 is rejected.
