Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The victim in her statement implicates the petitioner. Considering the materials in the case diary and considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement

of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

CRM (A) 2145 of 2022 is dismissed.
