The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in Kantanagar High School (HS), District-Murshidabad. She made an application on 8th March, 2021 praying for issuance of 'No Objection Certificate' in her favour for general transfer on special ground under the West Bengal School Service Commission (General Transfer, Transfer on Special Ground and Reallocation) Rules, 2015.

The said representation of the petitioner has not been considered by the school till date.

None appears on behalf of the school.

There is no representation on behalf of the Staterespondents.

As it appears that the prayer of the petitioner praying for issuance of 'No Objection Certificate' is pending consideration before the school authority for a considerable period of time, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of by directing the Headmaster and/or Administrator of Kantanagar High School (HS), Murshidabad being the respondent No. 7 herein to take a decision with regard to the application made by the petitioner strictly in accordance with the Rules, at the earliest, but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

If required, the school authority may grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner to place relevant documents in support of her prayer.

WPA 9941 of 2021 stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order be supplied to the parties, if applied for, as early as possible.
